Chemistry
For full course descriptions, please go here: http://ucsd.edu/catalog/courses/CHEM.html (anything in quotes from this page will be from this link):
Introduction to General Chemistry for scientists and engineers and pre-Meds. First quarter of a 3-part series. It's recommended that you take this course concurrently with Math 10A or 20A, but I don't know why introductory calculus is required. CHEM 6A generally covers: "atomic theory, bonding, molecular geometry, stoichiometry, types of reactions, and thermochemistry."
CHEM 6B
Second part of the basic chemistry series. CHEM 6B generally covers: "covalent bonding, gases, liquids, and solids, colligative properties, physical and chemical equilibria, acids and bases, solubility."
CHEM 6C
The third and final part of the basic chemistry series. CHEM 6C generally covers: "thermodynamics, kinetics, electrochemistry, coordination chemistry, and introductions to nuclear, main group organic, and biochemistry."
CHEM 140A
Introduction to organic chemistry for scientists, engineers, and pre-meds. First quarter of a 3-part series.
CHEM 140B
Second part of a 3 part organic chemistry series.
CHEM 140C
Third part of a 3 part organic chemistry series.
