• CHEM 6A

  • Introduction to General Chemistry for scientists and engineers and pre-Meds.  First quarter of a 3-part series.  It's recommended that you take this course concurrently with Math 10A or 20A, but I don't know why introductory calculus is required.   CHEM 6A generally covers: "atomic theory, bonding, molecular geometry, stoichiometry, types of reactions, and thermochemistry."

• CHEM 6B

  • Second part of the basic chemistry series.  CHEM 6B generally covers: "covalent bonding, gases, liquids, and solids, colligative properties, physical and chemical equilibria, acids and bases, solubility."

• CHEM 6C

  • The third and final part of the basic chemistry series.  CHEM 6C generally covers: "thermodynamics, kinetics, electrochemistry, coordination chemistry, and introductions to nuclear, main group organic, and biochemistry."

• CHEM 140A

  • Introduction to organic chemistry for scientists, engineers, and pre-meds.  First quarter of a 3-part series.

• CHEM 140B

  • Second part of a 3 part organic chemistry series.

• CHEM 140C

  • Third part of a 3 part organic chemistry series.
